GENERATOR REWINDS

hen your generator cannot produce power, it’s useless.  The engine runs the circuit breakers are on but nothing comes out!  Although generators are pretty reliable, when you least expect it they can let you down. 

This happens for a variety of reasons, some of which are voltage regulator failures, worn brushes or slip rings, corrosion of wires due to water intrusion; even manufacturing defects and misuse of the equipment can all cause output failures on any generator great or small. 

When this happens you may need help diagnosing your particular failure. When the failure is found to be in the rotor or stator and not in the external regulation portion of the generator it is often possible to “REWIND” these components.
